I seriously can't believe the holidays are upon us. November has FLOWN so far; it seems like I did my last Friday Favorites post just few days ago. About once a month I like to take a day and talk about my real life - not just pre-planned content type of blog posts. These are some of my favorite posts to write (and read on other blogger's sites).

This month has seriously been a whirl wind...like, I had to open my planner just to remember everything I did! I'm sure the next month will be just as crazy since it is filled with big holidays, parties, family time and tons of shopping (and a shoulder surgery, if your name is Amanda Martin).

I got to go to Houston for a work conference last month and had such a good time. Getting out of the office is always nice, especially when food, friends and alcohol are involved, ha! I got to meet so many other like-minded people in my profession (and hang out with others that I already know and love). We had a masquerade ball and awards dinner one night - I felt so very Serena Van Der Woodsen going to a masquerade! I feel like conferences are the adult version of summer camps, anyone agree?!

david yurman jewelry on display

I was invited to a David Yurman event at BC Clark a few weeks back and fell head over heels for all the sparklies! Definitely adding this purple gem ring and pearl layered necklace to my Christmas list.....the same list that has a maid, a new car and a pair of Christian Louboutins on it. Ha! A girl can dream.

Last weekend C & I flew to Austin along with some of our couple-friends to hang out and eat and drink. We did just that - probably a little too much of it! I felt pretty unhealthy and miserably full by the end of it, but we had a great time! You can find my Austin guide here - my one edit is to add EastSide Tavern to the food list. Their BBQ pork sandwich was delicious and their frosé packed a punch.

photo booth photo strips

I found myself in another Serena Van Der Woodsen moment! Can you tell I've been binging GG? Being considered VIP and sitting front row at a fashion show is so fun. The Shoppes at Northpark in OKC put on a wonderful show - they have the cutest stores inside! I snagged a wubbly fleece pullover from Shoe Gallery that is very similar to the one I shared in my BFF Gift Guide but much more affordable. Win!

bowl of ice cream

Incase you didn't already know, I have the world's largest sweet tooth. It is a serious problem! I pretty much demand dessert after every meal which makes keeping a heathy, balanced diet rather difficult. Insert: Arctic Zero. Their ice-cream is low calorie, low fat, gluten, lactose and GMO free, made without heavy cream, and it is delicious! I can eat a whole bowl's worth without feeling guilty or chubby. Arctic Zero recently sent me a variety pack of flavors to try and my favorites are the Cherry Chocolate Chunk and Peanut Butter Swirl. They taste *almost* as good as real ice cream and totally fulfill my daily dessert cravings.

bernese mountain dog

I recently purchased a new nifty fifty lens and had to test it out immediately! Luckily I have a great (and very helpful) model on hand at all times. There are literally no words for how much I adore this silly pup. I've gotten several questions about his elbow issues recently and I'm happy to report we are managing the pain very well and he is slowly (very, very slowly) shedding some weight which will relieve some of the stress on his joints. He will never be 100%, but he is happy and comfortable and that's all we can ask for.

What is on your agenda this weekend? We are heading to Stillwater for the OSU game (duh). C's work is putting on a huge tailgate so there will be lots of jalapeño poppers in my future. Afterwards, we have some serious Turkey Day grocery shopping and Cyber Week research to do, holla! What stores are you planning to shop at on Black Friday/Cyber Monday? I will try my hardest to round up all the good sales for you next week.

Whatever your weekend entails, I hope its amazing! Thanks for reading, it means so much.
