It's Christmas time in the City, ya'll! Throughout my ten years in Oklahoma City I've found a handful of holiday activities that have become traditions in the Martin household. I look forward to them every year! I thought I'd share a few of my favorites with you so that you can incorporate them into your family's holiday season, as well. It's truly the most wonderful time of the year - lets live it up and support our city's local businesses in 2021!

Good morning! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas filled with joy and cheer. I'm always a little sad that my favorite time of year is over... I know some of you are probably relieved to stop listening to Christmas music everywhere you go and get back to your regularly scheduled programming.... and that's OK! 

One good thing about Christmas being over is spending Christmas cash and gift cards during after Christmas sales! I always *try* to participate in No Shop November and Don't Shop December, so by the time December 26 rolls around I'm ready to go on a shopping spree for ME! I put together some adorable and affordable outfits from Romwe to inspire you to do your own after Christmas shopping! I'm totally crushing on this velvet bodysuit and I love the poncho inspired by Burberry - always  classic! Also, can we talk about these designer dupe heels? Insert heart eyes!

With only a week left until Christmas, I hope you are all done with your shopping! But that sounds much easier in theory than it is in reality amirite?! Hopefully by now, though, all you have left are those little last minute gifts and stocking stuffers. According to Santa, girl's stockings are easy to fill with lipstick, nail polish and pony tail holders but guy's stockings are a little more difficult. I tried to include options for both in this post!

Santa always brings me dried pineapple while my brother gets a bag of wintergreen Lifesavers. The toe of C's stocking always gets filled with mini Reese's! Do you get any specific stocking stuffers from the big guy each Christmas? I'd love to hear your traditions!

Good morning and Happy Monday! Can you believe we are already four days into December? Time seriously flies. As a kid, December seemed to be the slowest month of the year but it is definitely not that way anymore. It goes by so fast I don't even need an advent calendar.

I'm slightly freaking out about getting my shopping done in time for Christmas. I pretty much finished buying things for all the ladies in my life but I haven't even started on my husband, dad or brother. Isn't that the way it always is? I save the hardest for last and lets face it, dudes are just really hard to buy for.

OK, lets be real here, what time did you wake up this morning to start snagging deals? Or did you even go to sleep? Have you been snagging deals for days? I have never been much of a Black Friday shopper in years past because I hate crowds and I value my sleep more than money, HA! BUT, I'm all about shopping online from the comfort of my bed! Thank goodness for the internet. Unfortunately I almost always have to work on Black Friday. Life is really unfair. Don't tell my boss I'll be shopping from my work computer all day........oops!

This is our first holiday season in the #WhiteHouseOnThePrairie! Although we owned it this time last year, it was stripped down to the studs and under serious renovation. I'm sooooo beyond excited to decorate for Christmas soon! I've known where the Christmas tree will go since day one, ha.

In light of my love for Christmas decor....aaaand my love for being a homebody.....I put together this Gift Guide for the Home! These would make great hostess gifts, friend gifts, house warming gifts, or gifts for newlyweds! I have some of them (and love them), and others are on my personal wish list. I tried to include a variety of price ranges fit for anyone on your list. Happy Monday, loves! Can you believe we are basically half way through November?! I'm not allowing myself to turn on Christmas music until the radio stations start playing it.......but I'm gonna be honest, I check 104.1 every morning! I have a feeling it will be on any day now...

I make it a goal to get all my Christmas shopping done ASAP so that I can actually enjoy the holiday season instead of stressing out all of December! I do most of my shopping online in November, so I thought I'd start putting together some gift guides so that you can do the same. I'll be publishing gift guides each Monday through Christmas. Today's guide is ideas for your BFF or sister and is filled with things I either have or would love to get.
