Tailgate Sweet Tea Sangria

tailgate sweet tea sangria by amanda's ok

Football season is here; game day snacks and beverages abound! Whether tailgating at the stadium for a home game or hosting a crowd for a watch party, I always have a drink in hand. My beverage of choice this season is a Tailgate Sweet Tea Sangria made with Red Diamond Ready-to-Drink tea and white wine. It only takes a few minutes to make and can be made ahead of time, making it perfect for taking to game day festivities!

In the south, we take both football and sweet tea veeerry seriously. Red Diamond takes their products seriously, too. Every tea is perfectly crafted without compromise. Tea leaves are handpicked from the world's finest fields and made purely of water, tea and sugar only (or Splenda / no sweetener, depending on your tea preference). There are no powders, concentrates or preservatives to ensure that every sip is perfectly fresh and delicious.

Red Diamond's motto is "Perfect's Not Easy" but this Tailgate Sweet Tea Sangria sure is! You can use any of Red Diamond's Read-to-Drink teas to make this sangria, but I chose the Zero Calorie Sugar-Free Tea (sweetened with Splenda) to lower the carbs while still tasting deliciously sweet. If you're not an alcohol drinker, I think it would be equally as great mixed with a ginger ale in lieu of wine!

Tailgate Sweet Tea Sangria
Ingredients:
  • 1 quart of Red Diamond Ready-to-Drink Sweet Tea (I used the Zero Calorie Sugar-Free Tea sweetened with Splenda)
  • 1 bottle of white wine (I used my favorite pinot grigio; you could also use ginger ale to make a virgin sangria)
  • 1/2 bag of frozen peaches
  • 1/2 bag of frozen raspberries
  • Fresh mint, to taste
Pour a bottle of white wine into a large pitcher. Next, pour in a quart (or a quarter gallon) of Red Diamond's Read-to-Drink sweet tea.

Stir in the fruit and mint and let it chill for a few hours.

When it is time to serve, pour over ice and serve with fruit and/or mint garnish. You may need to strain broken down raspberries.

That's it! You literally dump everything into a pitcher and let it chill. It is pretty, its super easy to transport and its very refreshing, too, making it the perfect tailgate beverage.
