July Favorites

Amanda's OK July Favorites

Another month has come and gone - that means it's time for another monthly favorites roundup! I received a lot of goodies from different brands this month so I have quite the list for you! Blogging has turned me into a bit of a product junkie and I am A-OK with it. It is so fun to sample things and find new favorites to share.

1. YSL Liquid Matte Lip Stain in the color Nude Emblem
I actually received this lippie as a sample with a Nordstrom order and I instantly went and ordered a full size version. The texture is super thin so it isn't drying on your lips - it barely feels like you're wearing anything! Also, it smells amazing....like a perfume! That is weird to say, but it is great. The product wears well and lasts at least half way through the day. I really like the color Nude Emblem - it is a peachy/red/nude, perfect for a summer pop! The applicator took some getting used to but once you figure it out it works well.

2. Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask
I am always on the lookout for new hair masks! I try to do one once a week. This one is a bit different than most because you are supposed to towel dry your hair before putting it on, then comb through, then rinse and finish with a conditioner. It is a bit of a process, but it really leaves my hair silky smooth.

3. Caviar Anti-Aging Shampoo & Conditioner (N-Sale Combo)
  also available from Sephora
I have become such a hair product SNOB. I used to use drug store shampoo and I would dreeeeam about the day when I could afford higher quality hair products. Well, that day has come and passed and now I'm buying the most expensive shampoo and conditioner I've ever seen. Let me tell you, it is worth every penny. I wasn't planning to splurge on it during the N-Sale but then I happened to shower at my in-law's after being at the pool and they had it in their shower. It was so good that I ordered it that very night and have been looking forward to washing my hair ever since. C even told me the other day that my hair looked like I used expensive products. I think that was a compliment? Ha!

4. Caviar Resort Sea Touseled Texture Spray
This product was sent to me from Caviar and it is such a good beach spray! It does spray on very wet, so I like to use it on wet hair and then tousle blow dry with my fingers. It leaves my hair thick and gives it the perfect wind blown beach hair look without being sticky. It also smells fantastic, like you just stepped out of the salon!

5. Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream
I am pretty picky when it comes to skin care but Peter Thomas Roth continuously knocks it out of the park. I love when they send me products to try because they are always winners. This cloud cream is super light and it soaks in almost instantly but it leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated. It is great for combination skin (kinda oily, kinda dry) because it moisturizes so well but doesn't leave any greasy residue behind.

6. Peter Thomas Roth Skin to Die For Mineral-Matte CC Cream
My skin is very sensitive to foundations so I am always hesitant to try new ones. PTR sent me this CC Cream and I absolutely love it for days when I want just enough makeup to look put together. I am so impressed with the texture, it really does leave a matte finish all day. It goes on kind of tacky/sticky so it is a great base layer and the coverage is the best I've ever seen in a CC cream. I'm a fan!

7. Dualens Rockstar Sunnies
Dualens sent me these and I LOVE them! C thinks they are a bit extra but that's OK. Who cares. I can't wait to rock them at OSU football games. Gimme all the orange! They make me feel very LA in the 60s! All Duelens products are super high quality but without the crazy high price tag. They also have frames for prescription lenses and blue light lenses, as well!

8. Letter Catcher
A certain doggie named Kylo all of a sudden started chewing up our mail....... we have a slot in our front door so the mail man drops stuff through. After it happened for a few weeks in a row, we finally ordered this letter catcher to install. It works like a charm but the mail man still can't figure out how to get the mail in properly haha. Oh well, it is still better than finding it in pieces!

9. Spanx Leggings
Also available in Camo and Moto - size up one size, they run really small!!
OK ya'll. I never drank the spanx koolaid last year but I tried them on when I was at Nordstrom and instantly knew they were coming home with me. They are everything they're cracked up to be and more. They really suck you in and smooth you out like no other leggings I've ever tried (and I've worn a lot of leggings). I wouldn't really plan to workout in these, but they will be great under tunics, big tees, sweaters and more all fall and winter long.

10. Magnetic Lashes
My friend Courtney from The Finishing Touch convinced me to give magnetic lashes a try! If we're being honest, at first, they were SO HARD to get on. And they kept slipping off my lashes and it was just a huge mess. However, after a few tries, I finally figured it out and I think they look really natural but bigger and better. I think they work best with a light coat of mascara on your real lashes so they have a little texture to grab on to....that way they won't slip off!

11. Glamglow Mega Illuminating Moisturizer
Another lotion that I love! This one is great on summer days when I'm not wearing much makeup because it gives a little glow to your skin! Plus it smells AMAZING, like creamsicles!

Have you found any new products lately that are worth a mention? If so, I'd love to hear. Drop them in the comments!
