Eat. Lift. Rescue.

There are no words to describe just how much I love dogs. I've been trying to type it out and explain it, but I can't express it enough. Dogs are just my "thing," they are what makes my heart whole and  my mind happy. And I'm a-ok with being a crazy dog lady.

Outside of puppies and marriage, my other passions in life include working out and eating well. So, when I found Iron & Rescue, I fell head over heels in love. This Squat. Pet. Drink. tank makes me so happy - it's the little things in life, right?! What makes it extra cool is that with every purchase, Iron & Rescue donates a pound of dog food to rescues and animals in need, so you can totally justify re-stocking your workout wardrobe!

Did you know Chloe Girl is a rescue? You can read her story on the Chloe & Kylo page of Amanda's OK. She brings so much joy to the Martin family; I'm eternally grateful she found her way into our home......even if she hates photoshoots, ha!

Now, for a little workout! Did you know dog owners are 34% more likely to get the recommended 150 minutes of exercise a week than people without a dog? I knew I always preferred dog people! I tested this workout on Monday and it had me huffin' and puffin' by the end!

20-Something
20 Double Unders (or 40 single unders)
20 Squats
20 Double Unders
20 Curls
20 Double Unders
20 Lunges
20 Double Unders
20 Heavy Kettle Bell Swings
20 Double Unders
20 Sit Ups

Rest 2 minutes and repeat!

To make it harder, add weight to the squats and lunges.
I also did 5 rounds of 5 heavy back squats pre-WOD to burn a few extra calories and
took Chloe on a mile walk/jog after! If you try it, let me know how it goes!

Hope your week is flying by! Thanks for reading.
