I've always had a secret dream of being an interior designer. I have loved decorating since I was a little kid. Back in the day (I'm talking in the 90s) when my parents were house hunting I would draw birds eye views of every house I liked and decide where the furniture would go haha. Needless to say, I still love it to this day! I was so relieved when our house renovation was over but I really miss the decorating part and often contemplate redecorating some of our extra rooms just for the fun of it. And I love receiving gifts for my own home, just saying.

I had so much fun picking out these gifts for the home. They'd be perfect for hostesses, newlyweds or the newly-engaged, college kids who are new to being on their own, new homeowners, the homebody or just your every day girl who loves decor and being cozy, like me!

My #1 favorite place to shop for gifts for the home is Anthropologie! They have so many quirky but personable trinkets. I ALWAYS swing by there for house warming gifts (think: tea towels, marble cheese boards, monogrammed mugs, coffee table books, etc). I also love Nordstrom (for any and everything), Francesca's, Pottery Barn, West Elm and of course, Target. A few favorites from the collage above that I either have or really want (hint, hint) are:

Faux Fur Blanket - I got a faux fur blanket for my birthday this year and have LOVED having it on the couch. It is so soft and cozy and brings a bit of warmth to our living room - both physically and esthetically. This one is on sale for under $50!

Lafco Candle - I am CRAZY for any candle (I love Capri Blue, Bath and Body Works, Kendra Scott, etc). I really like that this brand in particular names all their scents according to which room it should go in! I linked "Ski Lodge" because it's the holidays but I totally want to try Master Bedroom and Kitchen. I think this is such a fun and unique gift for the home.

Diffuser - I recently jumped on the essential oil train and am loving it! I use my diffuser when I don't have a candle burning. It puts off such a good smell AND it has other good physical and mental side effects that go along with it! If you're interested in trying Young Living essential oils, let me know and I can hook you up with a starter kit.

Google Home - C and I have 3 Google Homes in our house and we LOVE them - C got the first one for Christmas a few years back. We use one in the kitchen, one in our bathroom and one in our bedroom. It is so nice to ask Google the weather, measurements, to set an alarm or timer, etc.

Holiday Plates - My mother-in-law often gifts me holiday themed plates and it is so fun to decorate my table with them and/or use them each season! I am totally crushing on Anthro's entire holiday line right now.

Silk Pillow Case - I can't recommend silk pillowcases enough! Once you try one, you'll be hooked. I got one for Christmas last year and love it SO much. They are so much better for your skin (no weird pillow lines) and your hair (no kinks).

Barefoot Dreams Blanket & Cardigan - I've heard such good things about this line of cozy cardis and blankets. People say it feels like a cloud and I really want to experience it for myself!! They are pricey, but I have a feeling they are worth it and will last for years to come. The blanket would match the new rug we got for our master bedroom perfectly.

Ugg Slippers - have and LOVE. I wear them all winter long to keep my toes warm and they keep the dog hair off the bottoms of my feet....win-win. I love that they have a sole on the bottom so I can wear them outside if I need to run to the car. I've gifted Uggs to my mom and to C and they are always such great presents they will use for several years.

What is on your Christmas list? I'd love to here your ideas for other gift guides - I'm planning on posting one a week all the way up until Christmas! Be sure to check back on Friday, I'll be rounding all the Black Friday sales and sharing some of my favorite deals.

Have a great week and a Happy Thanksgiving!

xoxo, Amanda
